What is the running time of the show?
The show runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Can I buy CHICAGO merchandise at the theatre?
Yes! We have merchandise kiosks inside the theatre where you can buy CHICAGO t-shirts, the cast recording and many other fun items!
What if I get hungry or thirsty at the theatre?
There are bars located on each level of the theatre that sell water, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and snacks. We recommend you pre-order your interval drinks before the show starts.
What should I wear to the theatre?
There is no official dress code inside the theatre. However although it isn’t a requirement we always feel it adds to the excitement of the experience if you dress up.
What is the temperature like inside the theatre?
The theatre is air conditioned, so nice and cool in the summer and comfortable in the winter.
What time should I arrive at the theatre?
Doors open 40 minutes before show time. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before show time.
Where are the toilets?
There are women’s and men’s toilets at the back of the Stalls. At the Royal Circle, the men’s is level from the bar and the women’s is up 3 steps.
How do I get upstairs?
There are no lifts to the upper level of the theatre. The upper levels have access by staircases that bring you to the Dress Circle and Upper Circle. Ushers are there to assist.
How many steps are there to the Dress Circle and the Upper Circle?
There are 31 steps up to the back of the Royal Circle (2 steps between rows) and 64 steps up to the Upper Circle. There are 5 steps down to the Stalls level from the foyer with handrails either side.
Is there access for wheelchair users and other access for persons with disabilities? (Please note if you require additional assistance it is best to get to the theatre as early as possible.)
A limited number of wheelchair users can be accommodated per performance. Each wheelchair helper must be accompanied by a helper. Please contact a member of theatre staff on arrival. There is level access to the stalls corridor through a double exit door on Earlham Street.
There is level access to the theatre foyer with the box office situated to your right.
Seat Accessibility: Wheelchair seating is located in the Stalls where there is level access. There are 2 spaces for wheelchair users down a slight slope at seats N1 and N34, with companions to sit in N30 or N2. There are Transfer seats for up to 4 wheelchair users and 2 scooter users. The wheelchairs and scooters can be stored and will be retrieved by an usher.
Limited mobility: For those with limited mobility aisle seats, seats J1 & J8 and Box A (3 steps up) have the most leg room.
Accessible toilets: There is a unisex, wheelchair accessible toilet in the stalls corridor.
Policy on Guide Dogs and Service Animals: Guide dogs are welcome and staff are happy to dog-sit for 3 dogs per performance in the manager’s office.
